Hand Crafted Artist Book

Gyotaku Primer:
the original fish print
a limited edition by
Ray Bliss Rich, B.A., M.Ed.

Fanfold book shown open; with closed books in foreground, one with a book band in place.

This hand bound fine art book incorporates the artist’s own hand made paper on the cover. It outlines the basic steps of the gyotaku printmaking method he demonstrated on the Martha Stewart Living TV show; with added tips and a description of the wet mounting process. Bound in the concertina (fanfold) style; with photographic illustrations, and a print of bass & sunfish “sharing the pond” on the reverse. This unique little volume measures approximately 4½” x 6½” with ten pages of text & pictures.

This is a limited edition of 100 fanfold books; with 10 artist’s proofs. Each one is hand crafted by the artist, as well as hand signed and numbered, with a comment on the artist’s paper used on the front and rear covers. Every cover will differ depending on the character of the artist’s hand made paper used; making each an original of sorts. Half the artist’s proofs and several of the edition are already spoken for. The books are being bound on order, or as time permits, so you may need to allow two - three weeks for delivery.

[plus a total shipping charge of $5. per shipment (within the US) regardless of quantity].  To order fill in the order form and mail it with your check or credit card information.
