Symbolism in Artworks
Note: any references to feng shui are simply based on what I have read.
I am not to be considered an authority on the subject.
The orchid represents spring and any new beginnings in one's life;
making an orchid painting an excellent gift for anyone starting a new life
(i.e.: new job, getting married, starting a business, having a child).
Orchids symbolize modesty and purity.
The iris symbolizes faith and promise; making iris paintings excellent wedding gifts.
In feng shui blue flowers represent the water element and activate lucky chi
in the north, east, or south east corner of a room.
North is associated with career, east with health, and south east with wealth.
So place your blue flower painting accordingly.
According to feng shui flowers energize love;
while a flower painting next to the front door activates happy energy
The circle is an auspicious shape in feng shui; making my paintings on circular sheets
excellent to place next to your bathroom door to prevent lose of positive chi.
Bamboo represents summer and symbolizes strength of character.
The butterfly symbolizes happiness and the dragonfly symbolizes good luck.
The chrysanthemum represents fall and symbolizes optimism and longevity.
The triad of the trillium represents family and symbolizes gladness and fresh hope.
